More than 1,500 children from Russia, China, and Laos took part in the “Grandchildren of Victory” parade in Vladivostok ahead of upcoming Victory Day commemorations.

The event marks the beginning of celebrations honoring the Soviet victory in World War II, known in Russia as the Great Patriotic War. Traditional Victory Day ceremonies will take place on May 9.

The parade aims to preserve historical memory and promote respect for wartime sacrifices among younger generations. Participants marched in military-style uniforms, sang national songs, and paid tribute to ancestors who fought in WWII.

Organizers say the event highlights international friendship and shared remembrance of World War II history.
