In this video, I test all three ChatGPT 5.6 models using exactly the same PhD-level prompt: writing a Problem Statement on “The Impact of Social Media on Senior High School Students’ Mental Health in School” with full academic citations.

The results are surprising! Luna and Sol each produce approximately three pages, while Terra produces only two. However, a longer response does not automatically mean better academic writing. I compare the models based on content length, structure, topic introduction, problem development, Research Gap, and citation accuracy.

Although the Sol model initially appears to be the clear winner because it introduces the topic directly and follows a stronger Problem Statement structure, a deeper examination reveals a serious problem: its claimed Research Gap is contradicted by the paper it cited. The original study had already examined the variables over time—meaning the AI-generated gap was potentially inaccurate.
