Treasury values the 261.5 million ounces of gold it owns at $42.22 an ounce, the price Congress set in 1973. The market says about $4,450. Sitting in that gap is more than $5 trillion, claimable without selling a bar, raising a tax, or passing a budget. On August 19th Treasury doubled its long-bond buybacks. Five days later the President reposted a $10,000 gold call. Neither move was explained.

Washington spent most of the last century fighting a rising gold price, because expensive gold read as a cheap dollar. That fight is over. Central banks now hold more reserves in gold than in Treasuries for the first time since 1996, the 30-year yield sits near a 19-year high, and interest runs $3.2 billion a day.

Every $1,000 gold rises hands Treasury another $261.5 billion on paper, mechanically, with no vote required. It happened once, in January 1934, when the government repriced its gold overnight and funded a war chest it still uses. The 2026 version needs no confiscation and no fixed price.

In this video you'll learn:
▪ The two ways Washington can reprice its gold, and why only one avoids blowing up borrowing costs
▪ How the gold certificate mechanism turns bars in a vault into spendable dollars without a sale
▪ What $5 trillion actually buys, including the 2032 Social Security cliff and 2.5 years of deficits
▪ The exact phrases from officials that signal the repricing is going live, spoken at a 2025 podium
▪ The one Fed balance sheet line that confirms it same-day, and the number that kills the thesis

You cannot control which side of this Washington takes. You can decide which side you're on before it happens.
