संसद का मानसून सत्र गुरुवार को अनिश्चितकाल के लिए स्थगित हो गया है। लोकसभा की कार्यवाही बेहद कम समय चली। लोकसभा 1 मिनट चली और राज्यसभा शोर में एक घंटा चली। संसद के इतिहास यानी 1952 के बाद पहली बार ऐसा हुआ कि पूरे सत्र के दौरान लोकसभा या राज्यसभा में न तो प्रधानमंत्री मौजूद थे और न ही गृह मंत्री। आखिरी दिन प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, गृह मंत्री अमित शाह, राहुल गांधी, प्रियंका गांधी समेत सत्ता पक्ष और विपक्ष के कई बड़े नेता सदन में मौजूद रहे। हालांकि अमित शाह की तरफ से विपक्ष की मांगों पर कोई विस्तृत जवाब नहीं आया।
विपक्ष लगातार छात्रों पर हुई कार्रवाई और उससे जुड़े सवालों को लेकर गृह मंत्री अमित शाह की जवाबदेही तय करने की मांग कर रहा है। राहुल गांधी ने अमित शाह के इस्तीफे तक की मांग की है। संसद के बाहर भी विपक्षी सांसदों का विरोध प्रदर्शन जारी रहा।

The Monsoon Session of Parliament was adjourned sine die on Thursday. Proceedings in the Lok Sabha lasted for a very short time—just about one minute—while the Rajya Sabha continued for around an hour amid continuous uproar. According to the report, this was the first time since 1952 that neither the Prime Minister nor the Home Minister participated in the proceedings of either House throughout the entire session.
On the final day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and several senior leaders from both the ruling party and the Opposition were present in the House. However, Amit Shah did not give any detailed response to the demands raised by the Opposition.
The Opposition has been continuously demanding accountability from Home Minister Amit Shah over the action taken against students and the questions arising from it. Rahul Gandhi has even demanded Amit Shah’s resignation. Opposition MPs also continued their protest outside Parliament.
