WAIT… Hakeem Jeffries Met PRIVATELY With Jared Kushner?!

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Donald Trump’s son-in-law and outside adviser Jared Kushner recently held a private meeting in New York.

According to reporting from The New York Times, the two discussed potential areas of cooperation, including housing, immigration and the cost of living. Kushner reportedly suggested a follow-up conversation between Jeffries and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.

And there’s a bigger political reason this matters: Democrats are hoping to take control of the House in November, potentially making Jeffries the next Speaker.
