Municipalities flagged by National Treasury

The largest number of municipalities flagged by National Treasury as poor financial performers are to be found in the Free State.
There are 16 of these municipalities, including the only metropolitan municipality in the province, Mangaung.
The provincial government fully supports the finance minister's recent accountability measures and the COGTA MEC says municipalities must embrace the national government's accountability measures.
