Finding strength in stories of survival, even dark ones, sounds strange to purely sensitive people who aren't also high sensation seekers. That's a real split inside our own tribe worth understanding better.

Some HSPs get shamed by other HSPs for loving true crime, haunted houses, anything intense. Like being sensitive automatically disqualifies you from craving a good scare. It doesn't. High sensitivity and high sensation seeking can absolutely coexist in the same nervous system.

If someone in your life, even someone sensitive themselves, judges you for that, protect your peace around it. It's not a contradiction. It's just a different flavor of the same wiring.
