I’ve been an LCSW for over 25 years, and I’m here to tell you: your 3:00 AM insomnia isn’t a glitch. It’s a high-sensation strategy.
As a Highly Sensitive Person, my sleep is the first thing to be affected—especially when we’re this close to a full moon. I didn’t sleep last night, but in my 11 years in the ER, that just meant survival. Today, it means a breakthrough.
The Sunrise Strategy:
• The Full Moon Stare: For an HSP, the moon isn't just "pretty"—it’s an energetic pressure cooker. It’s not anxiety; it’s the expansion before the shift.
• The Coldest Hour: Right before light breaks, the temperature drops. Most people go back inside. The seeker stays for the recalibration.
• The Cut: The sun doesn't "softly" arrive; it cuts through the dark. That’s the adrenaline of the rail, grounded in the silence of the mountains.
I spent decades trying to "sleep off" my intensity and fixing my "broken" sleep. Now, I use it. No more hustling through the burnout—just responding to the light.
April 1st is the start of a new chapter. No more fitting into the "9-to-5" version of healing. 🌙✨
Are you fighting the dark or waiting for the breakthrough? Let’s hear it. 👇
