Ippo vs. Volg Zangief is number 6 on my list of the best fights from the anime version of Hajime no Ippo.

Ippo enters the fight with a specific strategy and a brand-new weapon: the Gazelle Punch. But Volg is a far more technical and experienced boxer, forcing Ippo to overcome an opponent whose pure boxing ability is superior to his own.

This fight also introduced Volg Zangief, the Russian Wolf, who would go on to become one of the most beloved characters in the series.
